According to the media sources, a gang member named Robert Edward Maxfield shot and killed Yetunde Price on 14 September 2003. According to the reports, Robert was a member of the Southside Crips gang. According to Wikipedia, Price and her boyfriend were chatting in her SUV on the night of September 14, 2003. After that, two members of the gang opened fire on the SUV in the belief that Price and her boyfriend were members of a rival gang as the couple passed by a drug house.
