He has been known for playing in state-level tournaments, inter-level tournaments, and IPL matches. He is a part of the Tamil Nadu Cricket team for which he won many National level trophies.
Narayan made his debut in 2016 when he was only 17-18 years old playing for Ranji Trophy. In his first debut match, he made a record and won a Player of the Match award. Narayan Jagadeesan played in Dheodar Trophy 2016-2017 and won this trophy for his team. According to his Wikipedia and ESPN profile then he is playing cricket professionally since 2016. He won the Ranji Trophy match for his Tamil Nadu team in 2016. Then next he played in Inter Stated T-20 Tournament on January 30, 2017.
