He is currently fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. On July 31, 2021, it was announced that he along with her wife Cheyanne Buys aka The Warrior Princess became the second married couple who signed by UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).
Mark De La Rosa and Montana De La Rosa were the first-ever married couple who shared a fight card with UFC back in February 2019. His Pro MMA Record is 9-3-0 (Win-Loss-Draw) by the time I am writing this article.

JP Buys started his career at the age of 19. His debut match took place against Ntando Zama during African Fight League 21 on July 10, 2014, and he came out as a winner. Later, Buys fought Leonard Gregory the same year on October 25 and won Fightstar FC 9.
