Irai Anbu (born September 16, 1963) is an IAS officer, motivational speaker, writer, civil servant, journalist, inspiration, and media personality from Tamil Nadu, India. He is known in the country for his appreciable work and persuasive speech.
He has worked at many levels in his 30 years journey in Civil Service. He keeps motivating and inspiring the students and other people. He is one of the most dedicated and loyal employees, who does his work with full capabilities.
Biography
Irai Anbu was born on September 16, 1963, in a small village of Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. His full name is Dr. V. Irai Anbu. As per Anbu’s birth date, he came under Virgo’s horoscope.
He has completed many degrees in his life because he believes that there is no age for learning. After his basic education, he has studied bachelor’s in agriculture and further enrolled himself in a reputed college for a Master’s degree.

Career – Civil Servant Journey
Irai Anbu cracked the exam of Civil Servant in 1987 with 15th rank in All India and first rank in Tamil Nadu. He has served many reputed positions in his thirty years journey. Initially, he worked as an Assistant collector in Nagapattinam and did commendable work. Then, he was promoted to Municipal Administration’s Associate Commissioner, where he arranged several workshops to support the self-help groups.
After some years, he was allocated as District Collector in Kanchipuram. Here, he raised his voice against child labor and discard it from the district. In addition to these, he has also served many esteemed positions such as the Secretariat of the Chief Minister, Director, Press and Public Relations, and others.
He has given the work as Chief Director (Training) and Director, Anna Management Center, in which the Government provides him 36.23 Crores to rebuild the Civil Job Training Center, Bhavani Sagar. As per the sources, he has been promoted to State Additional Chief Secretary / Director, Management Center, and Training chief Anna. He is serving here since 01 March 2019.
