This 2 hours and 30-minute long movie remained the most controversial movie in French cinema due to its vulgarity, nudity, and sexual acts. Les Valesuses is based on the novel written by director Bertrand Blier.
Going Places Story (Storyline/Plot)
Telling you about the story of this 1974 controversial movie Going Places then lead actor Gerard Depardieu appears as Jean-Claude and Patrick Dewaere appears as Pierrot. At the beginning of the story both Jean Claude, and Pierrot use to harras women sexually especially older women. They use to steal things from old women and usually ran away from the spot. Every loot they do with old women after sexually harassing them didn’t satisfy them as they still remained less with money. Then they steal a car to have fun. But they steal it for a temporary purpose and decided to return it back in the night.
But when they return back in the night owner of the car captures them and gunshots them. In an attack, Pierrot got injured and run away from the spot. But Jean Claude fights back and gets successful in stealing the gun along with the car of the owner. He also kidnaps Marie-Ange. Marie Ange use to be living with the car owner. They then ran away from the spot and tries to exchange the car with another car mechanic. They even offer a car mechanic to rape Marie-Ange. Car Mechanic agrees to rape Marie-Ange but doesn’t find Marie satisfactory.
Jeane-Claude didn’t get a car in exchange and decided to finish the owner’s car by planning a fake accident. They do the same and destroy the car in a fake accident letting Marie-Ange go. They then moved to another place where they steal bicycles and a car. While living in the new place they didn’t stop them from doing wrong jobs and harassing women. They usually run away from the spot where they found the police. In between, they have sex with unknown women openly. Further, they start living in a deserted coastal resort where they found a family of three with 16 years old daughter Jacqueline.
They both plan things to have sex with Jacqueline and even force her to sleep with both of them. But they at that time didn’t get successful and returned back to meet Marie Ange to have sex with her. Later both became crazy for Marie-Ange and even broke into her parlor where she works and forces her to kiss them. But Marie screams and in between Jean-Claude and Pierrot gunshot on her leg leaving her in pain inside the salon.
Then further moving in the movie Going Places you will find that Jean-Claude and Pierrot found another woman named Jeanne who recently got released from Jail. They both agree Jeanne to have passionate sex with them. But after having sex when they both were sleeping Jeanne secretly commits suicide and then Jeane-Claude and Pierrot ran away from the hotel where they were sleeping with Jeanne.
From here after Jeanne’s death movie Going Places moves to an end. In the ending scene, Jean-Claude and Pierrot meet the son of Jeanne and plan to rob a prison with him. And after robbing the prison Jean-Claude and Pierrot became the most wanted criminals by the police. But till the end, Jean Claude and Pierrot didn’t get captured by police, and the movie ends by showing the scene of Jean Claude and Pierrot driving a car at a high speed.
