Starting learning acting in high school Dejo did many stages plays way back in the 1980s. He also got his acting training from stars like Fausat Balogun and Kayode Olasehinde.
A few years after completing his education he joined Akuko Gagara Theatre Group. Along with this he also joined Kolawole International Theatre Group. In 1987 he made his TV debut by appearing in the TV series ‘Apere Ijongbon”
