Chi Modu (born July 7, 1966 – died May 22, 2021) is a celebrity photographer of Hip Hop and Photojournalist, who hails from Aronbizoug, Nigeria. He was famously known for his skills and talent in the field of photography.
Modu has done photoshoots of various well-known Hip Hop artists like Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Biggie, Mobb Deep, LL Cool J, Wu-Tang Clan.
Chi became the headlines after the news of his death came up on May 22, 2021. According to the reports, the announcement of his death was made by his team on his official social media accounts. Although till now the reason for his death is not disclosed by anyone some sources claimed that he died due to Cancer.

Modu was born in the month of July in the year 1966. According to which, Chi’s exact age was 54 when he died. His birthplace is Aronbizoug, Nigeria, and was living in New York City. As born in July the talented photography belongs to the Cancer zodiac sign.
As per the reports, he has completed his schooling at the Lawrenceville School in Princeton, New Jersey in the year 1984. Later in the year 1989, he joined The State University of New Jersey named Rutgers University and earned his B.S. degree in economics.

Apart from this he also did work with various well-known hip hop artists named Notorious B.I.G, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Tupac Shakur, Mary J. Blige, etc. In the year 1997, he left The Source Magazine and started working with C-Squared as the co-creative director.
With the time, Chi began gaining interest in digital photography, and in the year 1998, he founded diverseimages.com, which was later renamed ephotos. He has also worked with several marketing companies. In fact, Chi was also the chief executive officer of REBRAND and digital strategist of DI Digital.
Modu later became part of weel known company named DOTGO and worked there as a digital strategy consultant. his mind-blowing skills were presented in many exhibitions, across the world. His two main exhibitions took place in the year 2013 in New York and in the year 2014 at the Pori Art Museum in Finland. He also had his own website with the same name.
