Aarushi Talwar (born 24 May 1994 – died 16 May 2008; Aged: 13 years old) was an Indian student, media face, and internet personality from Delhi, India. She was living her life happily with her family members but she did not know that she will get murdered by an anonymous person a few days ago on her 14th birthday. According to the reports, the dead body of Aarushi was found on 16 May 2008 in her bedroom at her home in Noida, India. Her throat was cut and her head was hit by something. Within no time, the media gathered at the house of Talwar and the case got media coverage which builds pressure on the police. At the time of her death, their domestic help named Hemraj was missing. The police suspected that Aarushi was harassed and killed by the servant.
A day later, the dead body of Hemraj was found on the terrace of the home. He was also killed by cutting his throat and had a lot of injuries to the head. Because of the continuous pressure from the media, the police wanted to find the culprit as soon as possible. However, the police were also criticized for not sealing the crime scene and did not collect the evidence properly.

The police failed in getting blood samples available on the floor and the fingerprints as well. Moreover, they also did not go to the terrace to find more clues and went to the next day of the murder of Aarushi. As per the reports, on 23 May 2008, the police arrested her father named Rajesh Talwar who said that he killed his daughter to hide his extra-marital affair with someone else.
However, after 2 months, he got bailed. The police tried a lot and the case was also handled by CBI but the case did not solve. Afterward, the police arrested Aarushi’s father Rajesh Talwar, and mother Nupur Talwar and they are serving life imprisonment. Well, Rajesh and Nupur also filed a case in another high court because they are not satisfied with the investigation.
