The series shows the story of Rau aka Raavan, who is living under the shadow of a soul trapped in its own curse. He is struggling a lot with pain and cursed. During the process, a curious woman named Sushila arrives at the Sardekhmukh’s residence, where women are forbidden. Sushila was advised by Rukmini (Rau’s widowed maternal aunt) to stay away from Rau and the lake.
She also told her the dark history of Sardekhmukh but Sushila went into the Rau’s room despite the restrictions. At this, Rau gets angry as he despises women because of past trauma. As time passed, the two became close to each other. Rau became more confident as Sushila empowered him to fight against demons.
During this, Rukmini explained to her the reason for being a widow all her entire life and not getting married to another woman. After a few incidents, the love of Rau and Sushila against tested.
