Mamata Banerjee will File a Nomination From Nandigram Seat Against BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari
The stage is all set for the most high-profile battle in the Bengal assembly polls. Mamata Banerjee and Suvendu Adhikari, who is squaring up another graph. On March 09, 2021, Mamata went on the ground for the first time since DMC released its list of 291 candidates on Friday (March 05, 2021) at about 3 pm.
She’s scheduled to hold a meeting with the party workers in her constituency officially launching her campaign in the prestigious seat. She is going to be filing her nomination on March 10, 2021.
Suvendu Adhikari is also going to be doing the same on March 12, 2012. Many Sources say that the BJP is planning a mega show of strength for Suvendu Adhikari.
For that, Union ministers Smriti Irani, Dharmendra Pradhan, and BJP leader, Mithun Chakraborty may also accompany Suvendu during the nomination. Smriti Irani is going to be arriving in Bengal on March 11, 2021, in Haldia where Suvendu is going to be present as well.
Actor Mithun Chakraborty is going to be kicking off the campaign for the BJP on March 12, 2021, but his program is not being finalized.
Mamata rise to power and her political narrative began in Nandigram with the agitation that she had held and protested against the left’s land acquisition movement in Nandigram.
This stir essentially helped mold Mamata’s image as being pro-farmer. It also created a strong connection with the region’s natives which is still enjoyed to date.
Suvendu also has a huge connection to Nandigram and it’s being his stronghold seat which he won in 2016 from this constituency with 67% of the world’s remember.
He had contested on a TMC ticket then he reportedly also scripted this entire Nandigram land battle chapter for DD and he also rose to the limelight after that very campaign, which is why he is time and again been referred to as Mamata’s right hand man.
