EC Asked for Detailed Report On Mamata Banerjee’s Injury from Chief Secretary by 5 pm Today

The Election Commission is not satisfied with the report filed by Bengal’s Chief Secretary on the alleged attack on Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during the roadshow on the 10th of March 2021. According to sources, the report was filed on March 12, 2021, in the evening.
It does not give clarity on what led to the attack. The report also states that Mamata’s leg injury was caused due to slamming of the car’s door on her leg. The report, however, does not mention what led to the closing of the door whether some people deliberately closed it or not.
It also mentions the presence of eyeballs near Mamata’s car. But it does not clearly say if the door of the vehicle closed on her leg after brushing against the board. EC has now sought a more detailed report from the chief secretary by 5 pm Today i.e. March 13, 2021.
Both the observers will also file the report by this evening. But what transpired was what was missing, which is why the Election Commission is not happy with it. They have given time today by 5 pm to the Chief Secretary. Also, the special observers who are in Kolkata have to file their reports by this time.
EC wants a very detailed and precise report of exactly what happened. BJP and TMC had their points in front of EC regarding this incident. Election Commission will now take a final call after 5 pm when a detailed report will be given from Kolkata.
The Election Commission has also asked for a video of what exactly happened that is crucial. In fact, the BJP asked that the video of what happened with Mamata should be made public.
