Delhi High Court Issues Notice To AAP’s Imran Hussain Over Alleged Oxygen Cylinders Hoarding

New Delhi, May 7, 2021 – The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Aam Aadmi Party MLA Imran Hussain on the public interest litigation that says political leaders are involved in holding essential commodities during the pandemic. Imran Hussain has been asked to be present during the hearing tomorrow. The Delhi government has also assured the High Court that at the highest political level a decision has been taken not to spare any individual who’s involved in the hoarding of essential items at this point.
As we know the Delhi High Court has been coming down very strongly upon anybody who has not been following protocol during this entire pandemic. They have issued condemn notices earlier, even against the central government. But now they have summoned the Aam Aadmi Party minister, the cabinet minister of the government of, Delhi in Imran Hussain to appear before the hearing tomorrow, saying that he has to reply to the petition that is alleging that a Nexus is going on between politicians as well as other persons to hold these essential items.

So there was a Facebook post of the Aam Aadmi Party official Facebook page that was shown during the Delhi High Court hearing that showed that the oxygen was being distributed by Imran Hussain to people in need, and questions were written by the petitioner as to how Imran Hussain got access to so much oxygen? So regarding that, his reply has been sought by the Delhi High Court they’ve asked him to be present during the court hearing tomorrow, which is a big tale of exactly how the Delhi High Court plans to proceed with this entire case. And he’s also been asked to respond to this PIL by tomorrow.
So it remains to be seen what happens tomorrow, once this matter comes up for hearing. But for today, it’s a big setback to not only the Delhi government but in Imran Hussain himself, because the Delhi High Court has issued a notice to him and he has now responded to the Court as well as this PIL that has been filed before the Delhi High Court.
