‘BJP Workers do not Get COVID’ – Gujarat BJP MLA Govind Patel’s Controversial Statement on Corona Virus
The COVID-19 situation in India rapidly deteriorating. A Gujarat BJP MLA meanwhile on Sunday Stoke controversy by claiming hardworking people like BJP workers do not get COVID. Rajkot South legislator Govind Patel said that BJP workers do not get infected with the Coronavirus since they work hard.
Because of their hard-working nature and their being on the ground they do not get COVID-19. BJP’s MLA statement here on Coronavirus comes when reports coming in of rising COVID cases in Gujarat as well. Several reporters asked him if the flouting of COVID-19 guidelines by political leaders and workers during poll campaigning was a result of the spike.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani tested positive for covid 19 while many other leaders of the ruling party have also been infected with the virus. Even though Gujarat reported 1580 new cases in the last 24 hours taking its total tally to 2.85 lakh. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has ruled out imposing a fresh lockdown urging people to follow safety guidelines.
