Robin Lee Peterson Cause of Death and Obituary: What Happened to Turtle Lake Resident?
Robin Lee Peterson, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack on November 8, 2023, at the age of 60. He was born on August 25, 1963, to Darrell and Helen Peterson in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, where he grew up on the family farm and attended school. He spent his time helping his dad in the barn and fields, developing a strong work ethic and a passion for agriculture.
Robin was a kind, generous, and fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand, share a joke, or offer a hug. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and playing cards. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. He was also a proud member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Turtle Lake Lions Club.
Robin is survived by his mother, Helen Peterson; his four children, Chris Peterson (Jamie) of Amery, Travis Peterson (Melissa) of Turtle Lake, Heather Rush (Jordan) of Turtle Lake, and Jamie Miller of Turtle Lake; his nine grandchildren, Kristy Nelson, Katie Peterson, Madison, Carter Copeland, Addie, Bryer Rush, and three more on the way; and his four siblings, Michael Peterson of Spokane, WA, Debbie Peterson of Amery, Cindy Luehman (Mark) of Amery, and Kristi Ottosen (Mike) of Amery. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Peterson; his aunts and uncles, Gary, Sally Peterson, Neil Hughes, Jane Hegeman, Darlene Perrin, and Kathy Krantz; and his close friend, Phil “Chugger” Seeger.
A Celebration of Life
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Turtle Lake, with Pastor Tom McShannock officiating. A visitation was held on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake, and on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. A burial followed the service at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Turtle Lake.
The family would like to thank everyone who attended the service, sent flowers, cards, or donations, or expressed their condolences and support. They would also like to thank the Turtle Lake EMS, the Turtle Lake Police Department, and the Turtle Lake Fire Department for their quick and professional response.
Robin will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his big heart, and his generous spirit. He left behind a legacy of love and service that will live on in his family and his community.
