Karmegam Movie Story/Plot
The story begins when Karmgegham (Mammootty) enters his village somewhere in South India after a long time serving in the Indian Army. He used to be a brave army soldier who pledged to fight for truth only. When he spent his first night in the village he came to know the facts that all of his villagers are following old rituals and traditions. And also they are facing the slavery of a rich and feudal Landlord (Radha Ravi.) Radha Ravi is exploiting the villagers for a long time.
Then the lead actress Abhirami who plays the role of Maheshwari enters the movie after a few minutes when it begins. She uses to be a doctor and falls in love with Karmegham after knowing about his morals and army background.
Standing against the landlord (Radha Ravi) Karmegham later came to know from his biological father that the landlord is his real father. Then from here movie turn and took a twist converting it into a father-son conflict.
He even after knowing that he is his father stands with villagers to fight for their wellness and fights with his father. Landlord’s sister who used to live with him loves one villager truly but he never wants his sister to get married to a villager guy. So the Landlord (father of Karmegham) kills his sister’s boyfriend.
Karmegham’s father’s sister comes to him for help and then Karmegham calls the police. Police first kill the Landlord’s brother Sakthi in an encounter.
Then Landlord plans to kill Karmegham’s mother and sister so he sets a bomb in someplace where both mother and daughter get to die in a blast. Then in the end father and son face each other in a brutal fight where Karmegham kills his father and the story gets to its end.
