Indian 2 (2022) Accident on Set, Shooting Halt & Update

Reportedly, the film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the production company of Lyca Productions. Let me inform you that the shooting of the film started in January 2019. The shooting took place at various locations such as Bhopal, Chennai, and Rajahmundry. Unfortunately, on 19 February 2020, a crane carrying a heavy flashlight fell on the sets which results in the death of 3 crew members. Additionally, 10 people were injured.

A Case was also filed against Lyca Productions and other people who were involved in the accident. The accident led to the halt in the shooting. Afterward, in January 2021, when everyone decided to resume the film, actor Kamal Haasan got busy in his next project, and later due to Coronavirus lockdown, it was unable for the producers and director to resume the film. In May 2022, Kamal Haasan said that the film will resume in June 2022. Apart from this, the work of cinematography is done by Ravi Varman and Rathnavelu. The music department is handled by Anirudh Ravichander.
