The story of the Dear Father has been adapted from the popular Gujarati Play with the name. But some say it is s remake of the Marathi movie Aapla Manus. But it is not confirmed yet. But it was challenging for makers to adapt the story of the movie in the Gujarati version.
The entire story of the movie is based on three characters Ajay (Chetan Dhanani) and Alka (Mrinamayee Godbole) and Ajay’s elderly father (Paresh Rawal).
Paresh Rawal will be seen playing the lead role of Dad and Father-In-Law. The film begins with a normal scene of the family. Ajay’s character use to be a lawyer in the movie whereas Alka’s character is a Math teacher. The son and daughter of Mr. Rawal’s character in the movie express their Unhappiness with their father.
And then the story takes an interesting turn when Paresh Rawal’s character accidentally falls from a balcony of their house.
And then the Investigating officer’s team visits the home with the suspect of the murder. Investigating officer sees the son and daughter-in-law with the suspect as a murderer. But what happens next is interesting and for that, you have to see the movie till the end.

The fact that makes this movie more interesting to watch is that the story of the movie was re-written from the original play by Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal.
Aditya has added his name as a writer of this movie. He has done a film writing course in New York. Aditya has written the story well as he has also watched the Play earlier that was written by Uttam Gada. The film was released earlier on 4th March 2022 in theatres but now it’s right has been purchased by Amazon Prime Video and the movie is now available in HD on the Amazon Prime Video Digital platform as of 4th May 2022.
