Who are the suspects and what is the status of the investigation?
The police have arrested six men in connection with the investigation so far. Two 19-year-olds and an 18-year-old were arrested on January 12, 2024. Three other males aged 19, 20, and 15 were arrested on January 9, 2024. A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on January 9, 2024, but he was released on police bail1.

Detective Inspector Paul Attwell, who is leading the investigation, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the public who have come forward with information to support this investigation. We continue to appeal for anyone that hasn’t been in touch already to reach out as soon as possible. In particular, I am urging for those who live in the vicinity of the train station.”
He also urged anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious on the night of the attack to contact the police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
