Rajashree Swain, a 26-year-old Odisha woman cricketer was discovered hanging from a tree in a deep forest in Cuttack. This happened on Friday. According to authorities she was missing since January 11, 2023.
The police said the deceased Rajashree Swain also left a suicide note in which she had alleged mental harassment. They found a body hanging in the Athagarh area’s Gurudijhatia forest.
Rajashree’s family meanwhile has claimed that she was murdered. Her relatives allege and I quote:-
She was murdered since the body exhibited injury marks in her eyes are also shown signs of bruising.”
The body of woman cricketer Rajashree Swain went missing on January 10 and was found hanging under mysterious circumstances in a forest near Gurudijhatia police station.
The police suspected that it was a case of suicide. The family members of Rajashree alleged that she was murdered.
They held the Odisha Cricket Association authorities responsibly and the OCA denied the allegation, the same tradition we had been playing for the State team since 2014, and she was dropped in the 2021-22 season, and from now on the Ramchandra police station limit to Puri district she participated in selection camp.
