Tamil Nadu Govt Allows Reopening Of Sterlite Copper Plant for Oxygen Production

Chennai, 27 April 2021 – The Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan has condemned the Tamil Nadu government’s decision to reopen Vedanta’s Sterlite Copper plant in Tuticorin. Haasan has gone ahead and said that there are so many other industries that have the capability of manufacturing oxygen and reopening the Sterlite Copper plant is not the only solution that the central government should look at to ensure that the paucity of the oxygen cylinders and the oxygen medical oxygen is completed.
Yet another political leader this time around Kamal Haasan has waded into this Vedanta’s Sterlite copper plant operations resumption for procuring oxygen from that.

After the meeting with the chief minister Edappadi K. There they have discussed the shortage of oxygen and to increase the adequate facilities of oxygen. We are witnessing the rapid number of cases arising day by day. Around 15000 cases per day have been notable in the Tamil Nadu record. To have an adequate facility of oxygen and they have taken the decision to reopen the Vedanta’s Sterlite Copper plant which is at Tuticorin.
