Punjab CM Amarinder Singh Urges Centre For Supply Of Oxygen & Covid Vaccines

Chandigarh, 21 April 2021 – Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has written to the center asking the Modi government for oxygen supply. So, Punjab is also facing a crunch as far as the oxygen supplies concern, the Singh has returned to the central government asking them to ensure that the uninterrupted oxygen supply continues to the state of Punjab.
Return to the union health minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan is concerned, he is demanding at least 120 metric tons of oxygen for Punjab and has also requested to set up two oxygen plants one each in Patiala and Amritsar. Besides this, as far as the oxygen supplies are concerned. The Health Minister has said that’s center was behaving out step-mother treatment to Punjab and not only the oxygen, but even Punjab is also short of the vaccine.

And when Haryana is being given priority, while Punjab was not being given the priority for the Covid vaccines, as Punjab was running out of the vaccine, and only a day stock is left with Punjab. In the past 24 hours, more than 4600 fresh cases have been reported in Punjab and 62 people died and so far more than 8000 people have died or COVID-19.
The condition has worsened in over 12 districts of Punjab, where the hospitals are full and if we talk about the PGI, Chandigarh almost all beds are full. There is no availability of beds for and for the new patients and every second a new patient is joining the hospitals. So this is the present situation in Punjab.
