India Breaks World Record, Reported Over 3.14 Lakh Fresh Covid Cases in A Day

Delhi, 22 April 2021 – India now registered over 3,14,000+ new cases in just the last 24 hours. 2104 deaths, 1,78,841 discharges in the last 24 hours as per the union health ministry. The figure 3.14 lakh cases is the highest ever registered anywhere in the world. The top five states, which have registered maximum cases are Maharashtra with 67,468 cases followed by Uttar Pradesh with 33,106 cases. Delhi next with 24,638 cases, Karnataka with 23,558 cases, and Kerala with 22,414 cases.

54.38% of the new COVID cases are reported from these five states with Maharashtra alone responsible for 21,000. Maharashtra alone, they’re responsible for 21.44% of the new COVID cases. Maximum casualties were reported in Maharashtra with 568 deaths reported in just 24 hours, followed by Delhi with 249 daily deaths.
