India Surpassed the USA to Become The Fastest Vaccinating Country in the World

While the cumulative vaccination coverage has exceeded the 8.7 crore mark with more than 33 lakh doses given in the last 24 hours alone. India has surpassed the United States to become the fastest vaccinating country in the world. Eight states show an upward trajectory of daily new cases. And the center has closely been monitoring and actively engaging with states and union territories over the rising COVID-19 cases in the country. All right, well, a total of 85,64,908 people have been vaccinated till now including 3,88,000 people that were vaccinated just yesterday and this has been only in the case of Maharashtra.

These are figures which are coming out of Maharashtra, almost four lakh people have been vaccinated in the state of Maharashtra. A state which has seen the maximum impact of the COVID-19 virus. There has been a weekend curfew that has been imposed in Maharashtra. And there’s also there is a night curfew in Maharashtra, which was imposed a few days back. There is a race now there’s a race between the level of infectiousness and there’s also a race to get people inoculated. And, you know, the government has been receiving many reports many requests also from the IMA, particularly asking them to make vaccination available for people above 18 as well, considering the kind of crisis India is facing again.

But India has become the fastest vaccinating nation in the world. And the United States is the second the number of infections is increasing daily. There was a dip a few weeks back with several Coronavirus cases, but that’s come back with a vengeance. And the government is worried Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also going to be holding a meeting with Chief Ministers from all states trying to apprise them of the precautions and the measures that need to be taken up to curtail and arrest the growth of the COVID-19 virus.
