One of the most popular events of India that is the Indian Premier League is going to entertain the people of India once again. This event usually takes place among eight cricket teams between March and May of every year.
On February 18, 2021, the auction for the 14th season of the IPL took place. As per the source, all eight franchises named Mumbai Indians (MI), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bought 57 players out of which 22 of them are foreigners.

Talking about some of the star players then they were sold in one bid only during the auction. As per the source, 241 players were not able to take their place in any team and they remained unsold.
In fact, many talented players in the slot had a good chance and competition among the franchises. In the list of unsold players, there are many big players on whom no IPL team’s owners showed any interest.

The players who despite being talented players remained unsold are Alex Hales, Martin Guptill, Sean Marsh, Aaron Finch, Jason Roy, Sheldon Cottrell, etc.
Roy earlier played for the Delhi Capitals (formerly known as Delhi Daredevils) in 2018. Aaron who once remained the captain of the Australian cricket team had hoped to be one of the parts of any team.
Moreover, Alex Carey also joined the list of unsold IPL players for 2021. On the other hand, Avi Barot and Kedar Deodhar played very well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy tournament but they also remained unsold.
