Who is Diksha Singh? Know More About Miss India 2015 Model turned Politician
Jaunpur, 4 April 2021 – Model Diksha Singh who is a Miss India 2015 contestant, and finalist, is ready to enter Politics. She will be contesting the district Panchayat elections from the Jaunpur seat in Uttar Pradesh. She spoke to the media explaining what prompted her decision.
A model and one of the 2015 Miss India finalist beauty queen Diksha Singh is all set to enter politics. Diksha will contest the district Panchayat election from Uttar Pradesh Jaunpur, the place she was born and spent her childhood in. Diksha occupied the top spot on the trends list on Saturday with the internet abuzz with questions on what prompted the model’s decision.
Diksha Singh Said –
“My dad just suggested me and he always wanted me to be a part of politics ever. I had studied politics. I was a political science student. So, I just thought why not?”
Diksha hopes to make things better in her hometown. At a time when people are suffering due to the raging pandemic.
Diksha said – “I wouldn’t really say that I’ve completely left it or quit. I would just say that sometimes your heart just wants you to follow something with COVID going on and human beings and humanity needs to come together and make the space a better version of you know, like living. And I think the first priority for us right now especially during these times should be a change and something that makes everything better.”
The 24-year-old model graduated from MES College of Arts and Commerce in Vasco da Gama, Goa. She signed up for several modeling assignments after completing her graduation. Women’s empowerment, she says will be her key focus if elected. Moreover, she is an animal lover. In her house, she lives with her pet cat. On her official Instagram profile, she has shared her photos, information about her parents, wiki, siblings, and biography as well.
Singh said – “The only thing that has not changed in so many years is where I come from, is that my hometown? I’ve been very fortunate enough that I’ve been born in a family who’s who has, you know, a supportive and women empowering in their own way. There are many other children around me, who have not seen the same life have not been through the same.”
Welcoming Diksha’s political entry, Samajwadi Party and BJP called her decision encouraging. Moreover, Diksha Singh is also a good artist, and paint art in her free time.
Samajwadi Party spokesperson said – “Diksha Singh has come back to fight for elections in Jaunpur UP, we are proud of her and let’s hope that she’s successful. They will be able to bring new voices young voice and women’s voices to the table and change the political landscape.”
In 2020, Diksha appeared in the music video of Darshan Raval and Neha Kakkar’s song ‘Teri Aankhon Mein’. Apart from this she also starts in the music video of Darshan Raval’s song “Rabba Mehar Kari” which was released this February. So, all eyes on Model Diksha Singh, and her journey in this political field.
