Bookie Episodes 5 and 6 are titled “Beware the Family Jewels” and “Nepo Bookies”, respectively. Here is a brief synopsis of each episode, followed by a recap and an ending explanation.
In this episode, Danny and Ray have to deal with a problematic client named Zach, a college student who has lost a lot of money betting on sports. Zach does not have the cash to pay them back, so he offers them his stepmother’s jewelry instead. Danny and Ray accept the jewelry, thinking that they can sell it for a good price, but they soon realize that the jewelry is stolen and that they are in trouble if they get caught with it.
Danny and Ray decide to use the jewelry to please the women in their lives, hoping that they will not ask too many questions. Danny gives some of the jewelry to his wife Sandra, who is thrilled by his gesture, and some to his mistress, an actress who he rents a house for. Ray gives some of the jewelry to his three ex-wives and his grandmother, who are all surprised and happy by his generosity.
However, things get complicated when Danny’s accountant finds out about his affair and his tax evasion, and when Ray’s ex-wives start to suspect that he is involved in something illegal. Danny and Ray have to find a way to get rid of the jewelry before they get into more trouble.

What are the storylines of this series?
Meanwhile, Danny’s daughter Lorraine, who is a shaman, has been running a side business of selling psychedelic mushrooms to her clients. She has been using Danny’s book as a cover for her transactions, but she does not know that Vigorish, the loan shark who is after Danny and Ray, has been tracking her activities. Vigorish confronts Lorraine and threatens to harm her and her family if she does not tell him where Danny and Ray are.
The episode ends with Danny and Ray returning the jewelry to Zach’s stepmother, who turns out to be a cop. They manage to escape from her, but they are still in danger from Vigorish, who has kidnapped Lorraine and is waiting for them.
“Danny and Ray enlist the help of Danny’s nephew, a computer whiz, to hack into Vigorish’s accounts and pay off their debt. However, they soon discover that Vigorish has a secret partner who is even more powerful and dangerous than him.”
In this episode, Danny and Ray have to rescue Lorraine from Vigorish, who is holding her hostage in a warehouse. They realize that they have no choice but to pay off their debt to Vigorish, which is $500,000. They do not have that kind of money, so they come up with a plan to hack into Vigorish’s accounts and transfer the money to themselves.
They enlist the help of Danny’s nephew, Nicky, who is a computer whiz and a hacker. Nicky agrees to help them, but he warns them that Vigorish’s accounts are protected by a sophisticated security system and that they will need to access his computer physically. Danny and Ray decide to infiltrate Vigorish’s office, which is located in a strip club, and use a USB device to hack into his computer.
They manage to sneak into Vigorish’s office and plug in the USB device, but they are caught by Vigorish’s henchmen, who start to beat them up. Nicky, who is remotely controlling the USB device, manages to hack into Vigorish’s accounts and transfer the money to Danny and Ray’s account. He also finds out that Vigorish has a secret partner, who is none other than Sandra, Danny’s wife.
Sandra, who has been unhappy with Danny’s affair and his bookie business, has been working with Vigorish behind his back. She has been feeding him information about Danny and Ray’s clients and bets, and she has been planning to take over their book and run away with Vigorish. She has also been using the jewelry that Danny gave her to bribe Vigorish’s henchmen and to buy a plane ticket to Mexico.
