Kung Fu Panda 4 is scheduled to be released in the United States on 29 March 2024. This is the official announcement made by DreamWorks Animation on August 12, 2022, on their Twitter account.
The release date marks almost eight years since the last movie, Kung Fu Panda 3, dropped in theaters in January 2016. The movie will be released in different time zones across the world, depending on the local distribution and screening schedules. For example, if you live in New York, you can watch the movie at 7:00 PM EST on March 8, 2024. But if you live in Tokyo, you will have to wait until 9:00 AM JST on March 9, 2024, to see the movie.

Storyline & Plot
Po, who is set to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace, searches for his successor as the new Dragon Warrior while fighting a new foe called “The Chameleon”. The Chameleon is an evil shapeshifting chameleon sorceress who can copy the kung fu of others by absorbing their abilities.
She plans to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm, including Tai Lung, Lord Shen, Kai, and Jindiao. Po is accompanied by Zhen, a corsac fox who is a thief and a new ally, and Han, a Sunda pangolin who is the leader of a den of thieves. Along the way, Po also encounters his old friends and mentors, such as Master Shifu, Mr. Ping, Li Shan, and the Furious Five.
Ending Explanation of Season 3
Po manages to find and train a new Dragon Warrior, who turns out to be a young red panda named Mei. Mei is the daughter of Master Shifu and Tigress, who were secretly married and had a child. Mei inherits the skills and traits of both her parents and proves to be a worthy successor of Po.
Po and his friends also defeat the Chameleon and her army of villains, with the help of the other kung fu masters from across China. Po uses his mastery of chi and the Wuxi Finger Hold to send the Chameleon and her minions back to the spirit realm. Po then passes on his title and responsibilities to Mei, and decides to retire and live a peaceful life with his family and friends. The movie ends with a celebration and a group hug among Po, Mei, and the others.
